Kevin Shevlin is a Senior Analyst with over 35 years of property tax experience within governmental, consulting, and corporate environments. Kevin has a proven track record of providing outstanding service that has resulted in abundant tax savings for numerous clients.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Nicholas Furia, PLLC, Kevin was an analyst of valuation for Altisource Inc. where he worked as a member of the commercial/industrial valuation team establishing valuations for mortgage portfolio requirements.
Through management of property tax requirements for retail and warehousing/distribution locations throughout the United States as a Senior Property Tax Manager for Macy’s Inc. and May Department Stores Inc., Kevin honed his skills in the commercial retail sector.
Previous to the above mentioned positions, Kevin was a Senior Analyst for the Joseph C. Sansone Company where he analyzed and managed property tax appeals for a wide range of commercial and industrial properties. Kevin focused his efforts in the discipline of property tax after working for several years in the Monroe County, Illinois Supervisor of Assessments Office. Initially starting as a deputy assessor, he advanced to the supervisor of Assessments position, which he held for fourteen years.
Kevin has undergone extensive training from various states and professional organizations including: the Illinois Department of Revenue, Indiana Department of Revenue, Institute for Professionals in Taxation, Illinois Property Assessment Institute, and International Association of Assessing Officers. In addition, as a Lifetime Member of the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club, Kevin has served on the board of directors for over 30 years and has held the executive positions of president and treasurer.
