Darren Browen

Darren Browen holds a Minnesota Certified General Appraiser license and the Appraisal Institute’s MAI membership designation.

Prior to joining the firm, Darren spent over 20 years as an appraiser at Nicollet Partners. His clients included attorneys, lending institutions, insurance companies, businesses, developers, property owners, and government entities. He has performed valuation work for property tax, collateral evaluation, estate planning/taxation, condemnation, feasibility studies, market rent studies, and marriage/business dissolution purposes. Many of these assignments involved litigation and expert witness testimony.

Darren has experience valuing multifamily, industrial, office, retail, restaurants, hotels, and special purpose properties. Over the past few years prior to joining the firm, he developed a niche in single-tenant industrial, market-rate apartments, and land development properties. His clients often sought him out for their complex properties when they required effective communication of how he arrived at his opinion of market value so they could make informed decisions suited to their motivations.

Darren holds a B.A. from St. John’s University with major in accounting and a minor in chemistry. He has taken numerous courses from the Appraisal Institute and attended many seminars since entering the real estate industry. Prior to beginning his career in real estate, he was an accountant with Deloitte and a financial analyst with a start-up company.

Outside of work, Darren enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He is also a sports enthusiast and spent over 10 years coaching his daughters.
