Nick Furia assisted Abbott-Northwestern Hospital’s Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in reinstating its tax exemption status which had been stripped from the facility in 2018 by Washington County.

The case went to trial in the Minnesota Tax Court, which held that the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Stillwater, Minnesota was exempt from property tax because it was an auxiliary facility of a public hospital.
